Description

You are a citizen of the Empire, and a professional heavy infantryman of the army. You enlisted in your legion for twenty-five years of service, and you are both relieved and anxious to know you have only a few years left.

As you double-check that your military-issued Spartan Dagger and sword are securely in their holders, you feel prepared alongside your fellow soldiers to go into battle. You just hope that your training will continue to serve you well. At the very least, you have confidence in the sharpness of your weapon.

DETAILS

Epic Armoury’s Spartan Dagger is a 45 cm latex weapon worthy of the great warrior-culture of Greek history. The 28 cm blade is double-edged and heavier toward the tip to give it more effective slashing power. The oval crossguard is detailed, sculpted and handpainted to give it a more realistic appearance. The 12 cm handle is wrapped in split-leather to give comfort and a secure grip.

Made from durable closed cell foam around a fibreglass core and finished with a strong latex coating, you can feel confident that your LARP weapon will provide the safety and appeal you want when crafting your Greek-inspired kit.

Available in Gold, Silver, and Copper.

HISTORY

  • Roman legionaries were issued a dagger, or pugio, similar to this one
  • Meant to be used as the final line of defense, and also as a utility tool
  • Strong latex coating with a round fibreglass core
  • Strong Kevlar core tip protection
  • Made from durable closed cell foam that does not shred
  • High safety, approved by the top organizations

All latex-coated weapons need a certain degree of maintenance. For this we recommend using maintenance silicone, which can be purchased separately in the LARP Accessories section. Epic Armoury Maintenance Silicone is an easy, spray-on application, 100% pure and acid-free making it safe to apply. We recommend using Maintenance Silicone on a regular basis. It maintains the latex-coat’s flexibility and prevents it from drying out, keeping the product wear and tear resistant.

Store your latex weapons flat or on its pommel--NEVER on its tip. Use a simple sheet or towel lining to prevent it from touching a plastic or rubber surface to prevent your weapon from adhering to other products. Keep your weapons in a cool, dry environment.
