Cohesion is Intimidation

Epic Armoury’s Infantry Light deal is a deal for those of you who wants an armour set ready to go, while also being able to have room for some customization.

Included in this deal

The Infantry light deal includes the following

Morion Helmet

Epic Armoury's Morion is a steel helmet inspired by the 15th- to 16th-century Spanish conquistadors conquering the world for Gold, God and Glory. The Morion's brim is shaped to protect the head and face without obstructing vision, curved along the front and back. The skull-cap is reinforced with a long comb running from the forehead along the helmet's apex. Riveted cheek guards are fitted to the helmet, adding additional protection to the face.

Warrior Gambeson Long Sleeve

The bestselling Epic Armoury Gambeson Warrior is a padded long-sleeve coat covering the torso from neck, down over the hips on front and back. It can be worn on its own or serve as essential padding under mail or armour. The gambeson is donned like a jacket and closed on the front with five leather straps with brass buckles. The arms are easily detachable by untying its cotton cords on the shoulders and sleeves, each cord secured through long-lasting brass eyelets.

Soldier Shoulders

Epic Armoury's Soldier Shoulder is a set of two shoulder guards with spaulders and pauldrons. The spaulder is made from a single plate, shaped to provide protection to the upper arm. The large pauldrons are also made from one plate, curved to sit over the shoulders and overlap the breastplate. This design offers more protection to the otherwise vulnerable armpit. The shoulderplates are fastened with leather straps around the biceps and at the shoulder, tying to a breast- and backplate with an adjustable leather shoulder piece. Epic Armoury breast- and backplates can be purchased separately and have fittings for mounting the shoulders.

Available in sizes from Small to Extra Large.

RFB breastplate

Epic Armoury's Ready for Battle Breastplate is a handmade cuirass designed to protect the front of the torso and abdomen. The plate rests at the hips and has a small flange--or sword turner--that deflects blows from the weak spot where torso and leg armour fit together. Sculpted to fit the body and add structural strength to the steel, this simple armour piece is fully usable with other Epic Armoury metal products.

Epic Armoury metal works products should still be treated with oil and kept in dry storage. All our metal armours contain leather parts that need regular maintenance using leather-care products to keep the leather from drying out.

Cleaning

If your armour does get wet, it is important that you dry it thoroughly as soon as possible.

After handling, wearing, or after six months of storage or display, all metal should be wiped with a clean cloth. Lightly oil the clean surface with a quality machine or mineral oil. Alternatively, you can apply a coating of wax to the entire surface of exposed metal. Allow the wax to dry for a couple of hours and then buff it lightly with a soft cloth.

Rust-Prevention and Removal

Store your armour is a dry place and check it every couple of months for signs of rust. If any is found, remove it by gently rubbing the affected spot with a mildly abrasive pad dipped in paste wax, oil, or water-displacing liquid.

Leather Straps and Fittings

Clean by removing dirt with a hard brush, then gently rub on leather soap with a clean, damp cloth until the leather appears clean. Remove soap with a separate damp cloth to wipe away any soap residue and then use a dry cloth to wipe away any remaining water from the leather.

You should always condition leather after cleaning, since the soap will have removed some of its natural oils. Treat the leather with mink oil, olive oil, or beeswax polish with a clean cloth, gently rubbing a small amount of oil or polish in circles into the leather. Allow the leather to soak in the oil before wiping the leather with a final clean cloth to remove any excess residue.
