Chainmail has become popular on the battlefield, protecting soldiers from sharp blades and arrows. But you are clever. A soldier in chainmail has every reason to fear you, because metal ring armour will do nothing against the blunt force of your Skull Crusher.
While you might be one of the thousands of soldiers on the field, you are still considered a skilled threat with the help of such a mighty weapon.
Epic Armoury’s Skull Crusher is a 82 cm latex mace with a mean appearance. Each of the mace’s five serrated flanges are 13 cm long and 7.5 cm high from flange point to haft. The wood-coloured haft is sculpted with a spiral pattern, handpainted and detailed to give the weapon a lot of character. The handle is wrapped in soft black split-leather for a solid grip, and ends with a flat pommel.
The weapon can match a rough or sturdy appearance, making it a perfect weapon for any variation of footman, bandit, warden, orc or seasoned fighter. Made from durable closed cell foam around a fibreglass core and finished with a strong latex coating, you can feel confident that your LARP weapon will provide the safety and appeal you want when crafting your kit.
- Flange would have been designed to penetrate armour
- Maces were first designed to cause harm without penetrating armour due to the force of their blows
- Commonly made of iron, but also occasionally copper and bronze
- Strong latex coating with a round fibreglass core
- Strong Kevlar core tip protection
- Made from durable closed cell foam that does not shred
- High safety, approved by the top organizations
All latex-coated weapons need a certain degree of maintenance. For this we recommend using maintenance silicone, which can be purchased separately in the LARP Accessories section. Epic Armoury Maintenance Silicone is an easy, spray-on application, 100% pure and acid-free making it safe to apply. We recommend using Maintenance Silicone on a regular basis. It maintains the latex-coat’s flexibility and prevents it from drying out, keeping the product wear and tear resistant.
Store your latex weapons flat or on its pommel--NEVER on its tip. Use a simple sheet or towel lining to prevent it from touching a plastic or rubber surface to prevent your weapon from adhering to other products. Keep your weapons in a cool, dry environment.
