Elven Wing Axe - 150 cm

Your Elven Wing Axe was given to you by an elvish blacksmith many years ago. You and your party had done an incredible deed for the elf’s people, and he claimed that someday this axe would save your life. You remember those words now as you face the orc raiders.

With great skill and the fantastical effectiveness of your elvish weapon, you find you are able to hold the enemy back. Not everyone in your party's so lucky--the archer is down again, to no one’s real surprise--but you may very well pull through in the end!

DETAILS

Epic Armoury’s Elven Wing Axe is the proper weapon for elven warriors. With an elegant crescent-shaped head curving back towards the wood-textured haft, this axe is made to be effective in semi-ranged combat. The head has a long curved 70cm edge and is made to look like the feathers of a bird, and its 16 cm width is secured to the haft by a decorative gold plate. The total length of the weapon is 150 cm, sculpted and painted with great realism.

Made from durable closed cell foam around a solid fibreglass core and finished with a strong latex coating, you can feel confident that your LARP weapon will provide the safety and appeal you want when crafting your battlefield kit.

HISTORY

• The first hafted axe was created about 6,000 B.C. using birch-tar and raw-hide lashings to fix the blade
• Many battle axes doubled as tools and were cheaper to make than swords
• Axes are still very prevalent today and is one of the most common tools found in most households, around the world

All latex-coated weapons need a certain degree of maintenance. For this we recommend using maintenance silicone, which can be purchased separately in the LARP Accessories section. Epic Armoury Maintenance Silicone is an easy, spray-on application, 100% pure and acid-free making it safe to apply. We recommend using Maintenance Silicone on a regular basis. It maintains the latex-coat’s flexibility and prevents it from drying out, keeping the product wear and tear resistant.

Store your latex weapons flat or on its pommel--NEVER on its tip. Use a simple sheet or towel lining to prevent it from touching a plastic or rubber surface to prevent your weapon from adhering to other products. Keep your weapons in a cool, dry environment.
