The Dragovar Short Mace is a modular short staff designed to wield power in a compact form. The Dragovar Short Mace is a modular short staff designed as a compact alternative to traditional full-length staves, offering greater mobility without sacrificing presence or compatibility. Built to pair seamlessly with Calimacil staff heads such as the Dragulmir and Salkoinas Ram, it allows you to adapt your weapon to your character, whether as a mace, scepter, or ritual focus.
Its design echoes the dark lineage of Dragulmir, featuring a blackened upper shaft with organic, vein-like textures that transition into a deep cherry wood finish. Subtle silver details reinforce the sense of a crafted relic, blending arcane influence with a grounded, battle-ready aesthetic.
Constructed with a durable fiberglass core and Calimacil’s signature foam, the Dragovar Short Mace is made for safe contact use while maintaining a realistic appearance. Its shorter length offers improved control in close quarters, making it ideal for players who want the versatility of a staff system in a more aggressive, fast-paced role.
Whether used in ritual, carried as a symbol of rank, or brought into the fight, the Dragovar stands as a focused conduit of the same bound power that defines its lineage.
In the chronicles of Seyrawyn, not all power is carried upon towering staves.
Some are bound into shorter vessels, crafted for those who walk closer to the fray.
The Dragovar haft was shaped in the same rites that birthed Dragulmir, its wood darkened and veined as though something within still stirs. Where the great staff commands from afar, this shortened form answers a different calling. It is carried by envoys, warcasters, and those who must strike as often as they invoke.
Its purpose is not lesser. It is focused.
When fitted with a head, the Dragovar becomes more than a weapon. It becomes a conduit, a compact relic of the same bound force, brought down from ritual height to the reach of your hand.
In Seyrawyn, such tools are rarely given.
They are entrusted.
The Dragovar Short Mace is carried by those who cannot afford distance.
Battle-mages, war priests, and arcane enforcers who walk the line between ritual and combat favor this shorter form. Where long staves command space, the Dragovar answers with control, precision, and immediacy.
It suits characters who channel power through motion as much as through focus. A spellcaster who fights within the melee. A corrupted envoy bearing the mark of Dragulmir. A ritualist whose authority is enforced at arm’s reach.
This is not the tool of a distant scholar.
It belongs to those who bring their magic into the clash.
