Your prey is almost within range, tentative as she catches a whiff of something in the air. You have covered yourself in the dirt of the forest and smell more like pine than person, but the deer still seems uncertain. She steps forward and you pull back the Bow String on your loaded bow. This deer will feed you for the rest of the week, so you are careful as you take aim. You mustn’t miss your target if you are to eat.
With a sharp ‘thwap!’ your arrow hits its mark, clean and perfect. A painless end to a noble creature...and your dinner.
This Bow String is designed by iDV Engineering, the leading archery crafters in the LARP industry. Created to match their 140 cm bow, this 130 cm string is a replacement in case of wear and tear on your original.
- Used in cultures all over the world, predating recorded history
- Modern reconstruction of a historical bow string
- Made from durable string
When not in use, keep your bow unstrung to increase its life. Never release the string on a bow without an arrow, since the shock of the shot will be absorbed by the bow and might cause damage.
Strings may eventually appear ratty or worn. Replace the string when this happens. String is cheaper than replacing a broken bow from a string snapping!
If you want to increase the life of your string, you can add a little bit of wax. Wax will protect the string from moisture while also keeping the threads together.
