About Refurbished Items : A weapon is declared refurbished when, following a standard inspection by Calimacil, it does not reach the expected esthetical level. A refurbished weapon will have the same security level as a standard Calimacil weapon but may have some lower quality result on painting, forms or other. This type of weapon is covered by a one year warranty on manufacturing defects that can result in the weapon breaking or being unsafe. It will however not cover the visual aspect of the product like the warranty on our regular items.

When war began in our neighbouring country, everyone started to prepare as they saw fit. Some fortified their homes, others bought all the food they could find before it became scarce, and many wanted to flee to the East. To prevent a massive depopulation, the king had an idea: he had hundreds, thousands of swords forged. Each farmer that enlisted would receive a simple but strong sword. As swords were more valuable than any farmer’s market, many civilians enlisted in the king’s army. When war arrived in our land, almost every man, every woman held a sword and was ready to use it. That why, today, we are still a free country.

Swords for the family

I ordered 4 refurbished swords on December 17th and they were delivered on December 24th. We never expected to have them before Christmas, so we were thrilled. All four look great. Shipping was fast and reasonably priced.

Very Good!

I was very pleased with what I recieved. It is quite light, comfortable, and a wonderful choice for those interested in LARP. I ordered a refurbished weapon, but I was still impressed with the detail. I would certainly recommend this product!

Amazing

Strong, looks great, and I will definitely be back for more! I don’t mind the slight paint mess ups on the cheaper refurbished sword at all, hardly noticeable.

First Larp Sword

This sword was purchased for my roommate, and while it will suffice for now, I must admit even though it's refurbished, I didn't expect the painting detail on the blade to be a bit shotty. You can definitely see the seams of the foam and blowing holes for the air as in total, it looks like a prop sword compared to the Hersir Azurite that I received. It's a good weapon, and will be usable, but it feels like its not as good as the other one. In short, if you don't mind it not being 100% and looking kind of worn down, then a refurbished weapon won't be an issue as we're alright with this one for now. However, if you want your weapon to look exceptionally good, then I would pay the extra money for the non-refurbished one as it will look a bit better in appearance. Otherwise, its still a very sturdy, decent looking dirk sword, and was worth the price we paid for it.

Not too bad

Defect on the tip:
-large bubble on surface (not too close to the core)
-foam is also not as dense near the tip (the surface already show trace after a single use by my daughter)

Even if useable as practice weapon, would not bring to a battle oriented larp

Still light and confortable.
