About Refurbished Items: A weapon is declared refurbished when, following a standard inspection by Calimacil, it does not reach the expected esthetical level. A refurbished weapon will have the same security level as a standard Calimacil weapon but may have some lower quality result on painting, forms or other. This type of weapon is covered by a one year warranty on manufacturing defects that can result in the weapon breaking or being unsafe. It will however not cover the visual aspect of the product like the warranty on our regular items.
The fresh carcass of the arachnid was laying at the foot of the initiate. Still exhausted from the fight, he knew he could not stay longer in the middle of the viscous nest of these chitinous creatures. Grossly cutting the giant spider's remains, he began to harvest his trophy, proof of his success. A fang, some viscera and pieces of shell were enough to make a solid weapon, a spear he will use for the rest of his life. When he returns, he will finally be an accomplished warrior.
While creating this weapon, we wanted to make a very detailed naginata with a multitude of nested pieces to represent the organic complexity of a spider. The plates interlocking with each other recall the almost mechanical workings of an insect and the metallic coloring is inspired by their chitinous shells. Made of Calimacil safe foam, this weapon will accompany you in all your battles.
This weapon will have its place in the hands of any front-line soldier or city's sentry. It can however be a very nice option for anyone looking for a weapon with a good length and a good grip.

The paint looks phenomenal. It is incredibly vibrant and catches a beautiful glisten in the sunlight.
The foam is very soft and malleable, which makes it great for fightingm It wobbles quite a bit if struck in a certain way, more often than not, it will wiggle in combat. It has a perfect length of coreless foam on the tip for thrusting (though you probably shouldn't do that). If its not struck, it does not wiggle by simply handling it, but if it is moved to quickly, like with a slash, it will bend slightly and create that wiggle on impact. It could be problematic in combat. This, however, is something I've experienced with other larp polearms, so it might just be a thing with polearms, but it is more prevalent in this than in other ones I've used.
This thing is soooooo fun to use. You feel cool using it, it looks cool, and it just feels right to take a battle stance with it. It is amazing in that regard. If you haven't used a polearm before, its gonna be slightly weird to use. Likewise, my only issue is with the wobble, it might cause some accidental slapping. The blade does not hurt at all to get hit with.
In total, it is a wonderful weapon and a crazy good deal for a refurbished Arkhol. If you handed me this weapon without saying it was refurbished, there is no way I would have ever known. The only issue I have with it is the wobble, its kind of an obscene amount.
