Forged by the gnomes of Tir Tochair, Zireael was a 200 years old gwyhyr, a sword regarded as the best in the world. The sword was made with dark iron and the shape of the blade resembled a flame, as is common in the gnomic tradition. On the blade were many engraved floral decorations and a tower with a swallow on the top.
Created in collaboration with CD PROJEKT RED, here is Zireael, Ciri's sword, from the universe of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, an award winning action role-playing game. This official replica is made of safe Calimacil foam. Crafted and designed from original in-game assets, it is soft enough to ensure safe usage in mock combat, but firm enough for Cosplay and prop usage.
In the open world of Wild Hunt, you chart your own path to adventure. You play as a bounty hunter, a man of the road. You set your own goals and choose your own destinations. Go after the bounty on the head of a nasty monster pestering a village or help a scheming noble who needs a dirty job done — no matter what style of epic questing you crave, The Witcher will provide it. Now you can also wield Ciri's sword foam replica and train your sword-fighting techniques to match those of a Witcher.

I ordered this with the Silver sword and it arrived, as always, very promptly. The two completed my cali witcher set, as I already had the steel sword. All 3 are exceptional larp swords, being super lightweight, as good as balance gets for larp, sturdy craftsmanship, and perhaps the best aesthetics of any larp gear out there. But Zireael in particular is something special. Now I admit, I have always been a fan of this pommel style, so I was already super excited. The sword feels alive in my hands. There's no better way to put it. In fact, I'm now planning to order a superior version, because I don't want to use and ruin the mastercrafted version. I do wish the bendy part of the tip wasn't so long, but I understand it's necessary because the blade has such a fine taper. Calimacil have outdone themselves.
I don't know if it's a design choice on their part, or to simulate a texture but the hilt, if you'll look carefully at my pictures you'll see the odd striations on them. I guess it's like the Geralt silver sword which has the same thing? I would preferred them to be smooth with the neat ivy design instead. The guard is also foam, so that's a bit unfortunate it would have been good if it was a rubber instead to avoid it breaking easier in combat, so I took a half star off for the hilt, and a half star for the foam guard, and from there we got four stars. Overall I like it, nice balance, good feel!
I’m sure I didn’t read well enough but I thought that for $200+ I’d be getting at least some kind of stainless steel replica but no it’s rubber and now a disappointment as a gift for the wife.
