About Refurbished Items : A weapon is declared refurbished when, following a standard inspection by Calimacil, it does not reach the expected esthetical level. A refurbished weapon will have the same security level as a standard Calimacil weapon but may have some lower quality result on painting, forms or other. This type of weapon is covered by a one year warranty on manufacturing defects that can result in the weapon breaking or being unsafe. It will however not cover the visual aspect of the product like the warranty on our regular items.

We all are part of this great and beautiful army. Fighting off the invasions of dire creatures, finding traitors to the crown and keeping the peace in the kingdom, we are all but one arm, united for a cause. This is why all our swords were forged the same. With our rigorous training and years of experience, our gear makes us the perfect symbol of peace and righteousness, even beyond our lands. Maybe my name won’t be remembered, but each one of us is a page in the history of our kingdom.

The Novice II is the natural evolution of the first generation of this Squire sword. Always made of safe Calimacil foam, this weapon will give you years of good use thanks to its unrivalled durability. The guard of the sword is now steel-coloured and the handle is black. The blade stays silver-coloured to make a unique and incredibly realistic weapon.

Great for a first sword, the Novice II is extremely adaptable to every type of character. From the simple soldier to the terrifying demon, even nimble fighters and wise mages can use the simple efficiency of this weapon to their advantage.

This sword and its longer cousin are well worth the buy. Goes great with my templar impression. Very well balanced and fits very well in your hand. Making it a very comfortable wpn to use for light touch larps as well.

Good quality and speedy delivery, bad timing.

This is the second refurbished sword I bought for my kids - quality and delivery was just fine. My only complaint was the significant sale they posted only a few days after I made my purchase at full cost. The sale made for an expensive timing difference when the extra cash would have been great for the holidays. I’d say wait before you purchase during the holidays and see if there is an early December sale first.

Can't have better

If you like realistic weapons like I do, you will NOT be disapointed. This is the epitome of sturdy, real-looking, historically accurate LARP weapons. The handle is slightly flat, provinding an excellent grip, the pommel is humble-looking, like a real fighting sword and not some parade, jewel-filled toy. The guard is somewhat rigid, which is good.

Mine was refurbished and came with a single, 8mm bubble at the base of the blade. Barely noticeable.

I highly recommend this, not only for beginners : as an expert myself, I must say this is the finest blade I ever owned.

A Fantastic First Sword

My brother and I have recently gotten into the world of LARP, and we are considering going to Canada's big annual event, Bicolline. I purchased one new and one refurbished Novice II sword, and both are of great quality. I've been told Calimacil makes excellent LARP weapons, and so far, they do! :)

Great quality!

I got two of the refurbished Novice II. Very happy with them! These have a nice feel in the hand, and look great. They seem quite sturdy. I will definitely be a returning customer.
