Description
The barbute is the italian variation of the bascinet and was very popular in the 14th and 15th century. The sallet and the french armet helmet developed out of it later in the 15th century. The "Manolo" barbute protects the scull and covers the neck entirely, leaving the face open, jet protected by cutting only the most unneccessary parts from the face mask. The eyes, nose and mouth stay unblocked and allow an easy breathing and good visibility. The helmet is built with an inner liner made of foam and a leather chin strap. Material: 1,2mm steel Colur: blank Size: up to 62cm circumference
